#17. While I wait....

As many of you know I am writing a spiritual teaching memoir titled,

The Fiery Trail to Walking in Prayer: Following Your Personal Spiritual Experiences.

The book is in copy-edit right now. I has been a steep learning curve to find out what all goes into getting a book published. I am grateful for my editor and all the people who have graciously read the manuscript and written an endorsement. Now, I am told that I need to start getting the word out that the book is coming out soon. So I did what most of us do these days, I started watching YouTube videos, to begin creating a plan.

You won't be surprised as the first thing these teachers suggest is to get clear on your goals.

Wow, this whole project was initiated by a PSE in a nearby park when Charles appeared across a chainlink fence and suggested I start writing about my life instead of all the academic stuff. Then he disappeared. I tell the story in my preface.

So I never really considered what are my goals. My book is a divinely guided project. So, I spent some time reflecting on my personal goals. What do I want from all this? Luckily, I had a conversation with a young professional health provider recently and she really enjoyed some of the wisdom I shared. That is it! I like sharing what I have learned over these last seven decades. I like hearing from those of you who can relate with similar experiences.

It is strange and, for some reason, makes me anxious to share a personal goal. But then as you know, anxiety is a gift. It is one way our growing edge appears.

Good luck with this new experience. I don't know that this will benefit me that much, but I'm going to give a read when it's available. My daughter, Margi however, may find your book very helpful. She is very much into the spiritual especially in her remembrance of her deceased brother, my son. She was recently babtized in her church and has become very interested in their teachings. I'm going to make her aware of your blog and she if she's interested.

So sorry to hear about your and Margi's loss. I'm glad you will let your daughter know about my book. I lost my duaghter in a car accident, so i am aware of the "wondering why the world keeps onturning?" . Actually my book is divided into before and after my daughter's loss.

I hope my book will be helpful to you both.
