Spilling Tea as a PSE #13

Lately I have become concerned about people thinking, "Well, I've never had a spiritual experience. As I am finishing a rewrite of my book, Fiery Trail to Walking in Prayer, to go out for a copy edit, I worry that I don't stress enough, the little ways Spirit is reaching out for you.

Thursday morning I got up early, excited to write down an insight I had for a chapter. I head to the cup of tea brewing on the kitchen counter. Eagerly, I reach out and promptly knock over the cup of tea, spilling all over the counter onto the floor. I stood there stunned. This mishap had not happened in my recent memory. Frantically, I grab a rag to clean up.

Then I decided to 'practice what I preach". I stop and wonder, "What could Spirit want me to pay attention to?" I smile. Of course, Stop, slow down and enjoy the tea. it can be gone in a flash!
